You could still find many players hooked to the game, as despite being almost seven years old, Bethesda has made sure that fans are kept interested with its slew of additional content and remastered editions, as well as an active modding community that just doesn’t let it die. Every one of its predecessors has done its part in contributing to the intricate and sprawling storyline of the continent, but with Skyrim, the full scope of the story is visible and open-to-exploration unlike any of the games before it. Set on the larger continent of Tamriel, the world of Elder Scrolls has managed to enchant its fans like no other, and we’re not just talking about Skyrim. Don’t feel like even touching the storyline and instead exploring the whole map? Of course, even though some items and regions will be only available when you do certain quests. Hey, can you catch that weird fish? Absolutely. Want to see what’s beyond that mountain? Sure, you can do that. While certain elements of a truly open world existed in many games before Skyrim, this was the first time that the players could really explore anything they could lay their eyes on. The mods under Fixes and Visuals make a good starting point for whatever you'd want to throw on top.The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim is one of the most pivotal games when it comes to open-world RPGs. There's a lot of other great mods but fixes alone had more mods under it than I would have liked. There's a seperate download if you'd only be interested in the controller support.

Alternatively there is a newer mods called NorthernUI that is like SkyUI from Skyrim and also adds controller support.

For UI there is Darn UI ( ) which would require this to install ( ).

Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul ( ) A nice alternative to Oscuro's though it could also be used with it.

ENB and Oblivion Reloaded mentioned under fixes can also add new graphics features.

Install whichever you like better after the other if you do.

Alternative to Qarl's but can be used together if you want as they do cover some different stuff too.

Plenty of other good textures on Nexus if this one isn't to your liking but nothing else will cover nearly as much except the next one. Oblivion is old and you shouldn't push it to hard.

Qarl's Texture Pack will cover most textures.

There's probably some stuff I forgot too.

I don't recommend as its the poster child for feature creep and would require a long explanation on what parts of it to use and not use.

Alternative to ENBoost is Oblivion Reloaded which at some point added its own memory patch.
